Wowza, nimble and nginx provide a way to authenticate users.

Nimble has similar, and Nginx has on_play in https://github.com/arut/nginx-rtmp-module

Will we ever be able to have, eg

src="rtmp://mysite.com/vodash/&mp4:182655/182655.mpd?foo=fie" type="rtmp/mp4" />

such that I can authenticate foo=fie?

I ma not confused about that and hope for an answer.

We wish to display overlay simple text on the player itself using HTML5.

EG https://github.com/brightcove/videojs-overlay works perfectly for us with videojs.

I am wondering if similar is available with viBlast player...
